Dialing Eritrea
The other type of code is Eritrea National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Eritrea. Eritrea NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Eritrea. Do not use Eritrea National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Eritrea into Eritrea.
For Eritrea long distance, you have to dial Eritrea National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+291 (Eritrea National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Eritrea Code or Eritrea International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Eritrea to outside Eritrea. Do not use Eritrea IDD code when dialing within Eritrea for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Eritrea from outside Eritrea, a Eritrea Country Code is used . Eritrea Country Code however is not used when dialing within Eritrea.
