Dialing Ireland
The other type of code is Ireland National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Ireland. Ireland NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Ireland. Do not use Ireland National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Ireland into Ireland.
For Ireland long distance, you have to dial Ireland National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+353 (Ireland National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Ireland Code or Ireland International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Ireland to outside Ireland. Do not use Ireland IDD code when dialing within Ireland for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Ireland from outside Ireland, a Ireland Country Code is used . Ireland Country Code however is not used when dialing within Ireland.
